Prevention Plan
Most of you probably know that AIS has been in our country and Itasca county for decades. However, you might not know just how physically close and broad the threat has become and the efforts of the SLA to date to mitigate the risk of an infestation in our lake. This plan will discuss these things and SLA’s AIS efforts and goals to date, which include:
Discuss a lake AIS Risk Assessment and SLA’s prevention and mitigation efforts to-date
Present Implementation of an AIS Prevention Plan and Rapid Response Plan
Inform you of your Obligations and Opportunities as a Sugar Lake Land Owner/User
DECONTAMINATION UNIT
Siseebakwet Lake is very fortunate to have their own Decon unit, housed at Sugar Lake Lodge. To utilize the decon unit, please call 612-801-1469 for information on when and where to go to utilize this piece of equipment. Sugar Lake Lodge has three people trained to use the equipment, and will gladly work with you to decontaminate any visitor boats.
