Troy and Joy’s Crock Pot French Toast
From the kitchen of: Dianne Herendeen

1 loaf thick sliced French bread cut into large 1-1 ½” cubes.
7 eggs beaten with 2 cups milk or half & half

Add next four ingredients:
1 tsp vanilla
1 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP cinnamon
1 pinch of salt

1 cup blueberries or berries of your choice (see next step)

Place bread in large bowl and add wet ingredients to bread and toss gently.  Gently add in blueberries and put in buttered crock pot. Put in fridge overnight.

Topping:  

1/4 – 1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 – 2/3 cup brown sugar

Mix together and chill overnight.

In the morning crumble butter/brown sugar mixture over French toast mixture. And put crock pot in heating base and cook 1/2 hour on low and 2 hours on high. Serve with butter and syrup.
